Gordon has
nearly 35 years experience of working in International Banking most recently as
Vice President at Santander Global Corporate Banking, but also including Bank
of Scotland (latterly Lloyds), NM Rothschild, Britannia Building Society and
Barclays Bank. He gained a deep understanding of Trade Finance during his early
career at Barclays Bank (Letters of Credit, Doc Collections, Guarantees,
International Payments etc) but has specialised in Financial Markets (Foreign
Exchange, Interest Rates and Commodities) for the last 25 years.
Gordon has
worked with businesses large and small, ranging from small owner managed
businesses through SMEs to large multi-national organisations with various
overseas subsidiaries.
During his
career the key objective has been to work with clients on a consultative basis,
to understand their needs from a Risk Management perspective and to put the
resultant strategies in place.
He has
presented to clients on a very regular basis in small/medium groups as well as
to large gatherings at seminars & conferences.
Gordon qualified as a professional banker (ACIB) early in his career, and was CF21 (Investment Adviser) & CF30 (Customer) regulated by the FCA until a change to self regulation by firms in 2016.
